Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is an Mexican American musician and popular actress. Her family was home-schooled by her mother in the USA. Her childhood was filled with racist taunts and made to feel unwanted. In her 9th year that she started to feel more confident after being highly praised during an audition. The experience not only increased the confidence of her, but was also a change in the direction of her professional career. She attended New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. At the age of 23 years old, she launched her professional career in Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, when she was 23 her first film debut was You've received mail. The greatest achievement of her career was with her portrayal of The Lady of The Lake in Spamalot's initial Broadway production. Not only did she receive the Tony Award, but her performance was also highly praised by the critics. She gained more recognition when she appeared in Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. She is also a known singer and has released an extended play. She is an activist who works tirelessly to promote LGBT equality.
