Lita Rossana Ford (or Lita Ford, as she's most commonly referred to as was an American born British singer and guitarist who was the leader of the only female hard-rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. It was not possible for The Runaways to become a major hit in America however, they enjoyed a great deal of acclaim in other nations particularly Japan. Ford launched a solo heavy-metal career following the split from her band in 1979. After taking vocal lessons, Ford released her debut solo album "Out for Blood" followed by "Dancin on the Edge". Ford did not achieve any success with either record and disappeared from the world of rock for a decade. Her biggest hit, 'Lita' was released in 1989. Kiss Me Deadly, and Close My Eyes Forever both quickly became huge hit. Sadly, her fame was only temporary and she was absent from the world of music for many years. The release of Black in 1995 followed by a fifteen year wait for 'Wicked wonderland. "Time Capsule" was her album "Time Capsule" was released by her in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
